The Engineering Trust Annual Awards 2026
We’re thrilled to announce that The Engineering Trust Annual Awards are back for another exciting year! Mark your calendars, our celebration evening will take place on Wednesday, 18th February 2026 from 5:30pm, hosted at the iconic British Motor Museum in Gaydon (CV35 0BJ).
A New Venue: The British Motor Museum
For 2026, we’re taking the celebrations to a new and inspiring location. The British Motor Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of historic British cars. Guests will enjoy a private access to the museum during the evening, exploring over 400 classic and modern vehicles that tell the story of Britain’s automotive innovation.
The evening begins with a drinks reception inside the museum, followed by a delicious fork buffet before we begin the awards presentation and celebration. It’s set to be an unforgettable evening of inspiration, recognition and connection.

Celebrating Success Across Four Award Categories
Each year, our awards shine a spotlight on the exceptional talent and dedication within the engineering apprenticeship community.
Here’s our four categories:
Apprentice of the Year
Recognising apprentices who have excelled throughout their training demonstrating exceptional progress, commitment, and technical skill.

- Eligibility: Open to apprentices who have completed their apprenticeship in 2025 or are at least 12 months into their programme.
- Nominations: Training Officers and TESA Lecturers only.
Trevor Woodger Award for Career Progression
Honouring current or former apprentices who have made a remarkable impact in their career and within their business.

- This award pays tribute to Trevor Woodger MBE, a much-loved Training Officer at ETT who dedicated his life to developing engineering talent.
Above and Beyond Award
Celebrating mentors and managers who have gone the extra mile to support and guide apprentices to success.

(Last year's Above and Beyond Award Winner, Judged by Intake Talent)
- Eligibility: Can be from a current or former apprentice, an employer, a work colleague or an ETT team member.
Apprentice Employer of the Year
Recognising employers who demonstrate exceptional commitment to apprenticeships through mentoring, training, and creating career-growth opportunities.

- Eligibility: Any nomination must evidence how the whole organisation is committed to apprenticeships (variety, flexibility and diversity).
