Mission

To champion engineering in schools, promote engineering as a career pathway and celebrate young people in engineering.

About Us

The Engineering Trust, was set up as a registered Charity in 1983 by a group of engineering employers based in Oxfordshire with the goal of promoting engineering apprenticeships and training.

It continues to strive to fulfil its original goal both in the work it undertakes directly as a charitable organisation and also through its subsidiary company Engineering Trust Training Ltd that delivers work based apprenticeships in Oxfordshire and surrounding counties.

Our Work

  • In Schools

    In Schools

    We are developing our work in schools with 3 key aims;

    1. To support the teaching of Engineering within schools.

    2. To educate children on what Engineering is and how it affects everyday life.

    3. To promote Engineering as a career.

  • Promoting Engineering

    Promoting Engineering

    We work to promote Engineering as a career to both children and adults. Organising events, attending careers events and working with other organisations with similar goals, our aim is to find new talent to enter the industry and up skill those already working within the industry – providing the workforce and leaders of the future.

  • Celebrating Engineering

    Celebrating Engineering

    We organise and support events that celebrate the achievements of apprentices and people within the Engineering industry.

    We organise the Annual Awards night for The Engineering Trust Training and organised an event to support the Women's Engineering Society celebration of 100 years of Women in Engineering.
