E&M Electronics repair various products, mainly Hi-Fi and electronic musical instruments and music production equipment and is looking to recruit an Electronics Apprentice in Milton Keynes.

Vacancy description

Inspection, testing and repair of electronic products, including:

  • Hi Fi Systems
  • Musical instruments (guitars, keyboard etc)
  • Music production equipment
  • Televisions.

Once sufficient knowledge and experience has been gained the apprentice will support customers either over the phone or at the trade counter.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

An interest in Technology and music. Although not essential, the ability to play a guitar or keyboard would be useful, as this would aid the diagnosis of some faults.

Personal qualities

Presentable, good communication skills, an attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Desired qualifications

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4, to include Math’s, English and Science.

Future prospects

Additional salary as level of skills, knowledge and experience increase.

Things to consider

Some heavy lifting will be required.
