Vacancy Description:

The apprentice would be trained to repair and test various electronic products and equipment, including Hifi systems, electronic keyboards and guitars.

  • Fault finding
  • Repair to a competent level
  • Testing to original specifications
  • Record keeping and data entry
  • Customer liaison
  • Fitting parts

Desired Skills

Some interest in technology

Although desirable, it’s not essential, but the ability to play keyboard and or guitar would be useful, as this would aid in the diagnosis of some faults.

Presentable, Good communication skills, Attention to detail, Work well within a team, Strong and fit

Qualifications required

A minimum of three GCSE's (or equivalent qualifications) at grade C (Grade 4 ) minimum and above including English and Maths.

Training

Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship delivered over 2 years. First year L2 NVQ Performing Manufacturing Operations and  BTEC L2 Diploma  delivered at external college/provider.  Subsequent years spent in company following company training plan, against which the NVQ is awarded.
