This course is designed for all staff that will erect, inspect or dismantle mobile towers. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 (as amended) require that the erection of mobile towers should be carried out by, or under the supervision of, a competently trained person.

Course Aims

By the end of the course attendees will have learnt to:

  • Identify the different types of mobile towers
  • Be aware of the regulations that effect mobile towers
  • Risk assess the task that the mobile tower will be used for
  • Demonstrate they can safely construct, move and dismantle a mobile tower

  • An understanding of mobile tower terminology
  • Use of check lists to ensure stability and safety
  • Consideration of the environment and conditions regarding the safe use of mobile towers
  • The obligations of mobile tower erectors and users
  • Responsibilities as imposed by regulations governing the use of mobile towers

Learner Numbers

On site: Minimum 5 – Maximum 12
